THE STORY

The CAROLINE 1942 FASHION INSTITUTE was birthed as a result of the Founder's desperation to help Students tap into their creative potential, preparing the next generation of pioneer Fashion Designers.

Feeding the need to develop raw talent in African Youth's in the industry of fashion design and also refine it to perfection, while training a new generation of African Fashion Pioneers that will make their mark on a global platform.

Ms. Zara J Miner saw a vacuum in the fashion industry in Africa and a lack of in depth understanding of the subject on technical terms within the continent. With the understanding that the world is a global village and time nor location should not be a hinderance to good fashion education, the institute was born and established in 2019.

The Institute hopes to reach a wide variety of young African designers whose passion is fashion at heart helping one Student at a time.

INTRODUCTION TO FASHION ILLUSTRATION (4 WEEKS COURSE): This course is a boot camp to get you set for more to come. Have you always wanted to express your designs and don't know how to?

FASHION DESIGN:BRAND DEVELOPMENT (6 WEEKS): This course focuses on brand development in fashion design.It is one of the most intensive courses in the curriculum as it it very broad and covers a number of disciplines.

FASHION DESIGN: PORTFOLIO PRESENTATION (7 WEEK COURSE): This is the perfect course that prepares you for your dream fashion internship or Fashion University Degree. It is an intense course that will stretch you beyond your capacity and bring out the very best in you.

FASHION MERCHANDISING: TREND FORECASTING (3 WEEK COURSE): Learn the importance of trend forecasting as it relates to fashion merchandising. In this course you would be able to determine fashion trends and understand business concepts in trend forecasting.
